I would go with the i7 + 750m IMO, the i7 won't bottleneck while an i5 eventually will. Most games today will be fine with a dual-core i5, but, if she plans to keep it for a while the performance will dip because of a dual as opposed to a quad. Not to mention, the games she is playing aren't super graphics intensive and the CPU will be used more at a lower resolution anyways.
