I am going to order another Samsung 840 Pro 256GB, found one on a good deal, not much cheaper ofcourse but the offer is nice, it will make that like i get 1GB/$.85, a steal deal, ok people, i am busy to send money on my CC and then click before that deal end by 15 June 2013 thumb.gifbiggrin.gif:p

I know this thread is pretty dead but I didn't want to make a new one:

If I wanna move a game or game save to my SSD, can I just click and drag it over to the SSD without any trouble? The game in particular is Sims 3, the loading and saving times are horrendous.

You cant just drag programs over. I use something called Steam Mover to move whole programs between drives.

However I also have Sims 3 and only noticed a slight improvement (about 20%) in the loading time when I switched over to SSD.

I have several modern PC games and all of them load at least 10x faster than Sims 3.

Something about that particular game is just slow loading. (over 1 1/2 minutes for my hardware)

Even the save file? I don't mind the initial load time, but loading the game save is dreadful. I guess I'll just deal with it.

I was counting the total load time from game startup to actual play. In my case the game save loading part was about 35 seconds.
