[CL] GTX 760 pictured, has 2GB memory - Page 8

The simplest solution for NVIDIA would then be to have a 670 rebrand as the 760 Ti and a modified GTX 660 OEM (changed to have a 256-bit bus and 2GB of VRAM) as the 760.
Code:
NAME CHIP CUDA TMU ROP SMX BASE BOOST MEMCL BUS MEMSZ TDP MSRP
660 [OEM] GK104 1152 96 24 6 823 888 5800 192 1536 130 $N/A
660 Ti GK104 1344 112 24 7 915 980 6008 192 2048 150 $299
670 GK104 1344 112 32 7 915 980 6008 256 2048 170 $399
If they did this, I'm guessing the difference between the 760ti and 760 would be VERY small with the same memory bandwith setups. It would also make the cheapest one the no-brainer best buy. then SLI it devilsmiley.gif
I hope good news comes tomorrow.

So when is the 760 going to hit? I agree that it makes sense this is to be an OEM 660 with 2GB and 256-bit bus.

I'm so close to buying a new card but I want to see this GTX760 before I pull the trigger. Hurry up and give us a release date dammit!

Damn them and their logical marketing frown.gif They just want you to think "hmm its not worth waiting, I will just buy the next one up".

Sigh

Also waiting for this card. The 8970 announcement supposedly today might sway me over to the red team.

Will be very interesting to see how the GK104 with 1152 cores / 256-bit performs. Hopefully this 760 isn't woefully locked down by NVIDIA.

I plan to upgrade a GTX 460 at ~$200 price range and was about to grab a GTX 660 2GB, but now that this release appears imminent I will wait to see pricing and benches...

anyone else thinking otherwise was dreaming.
I don't see why this is bad, more options for buyers ....slightly more performance for the same price.
Once AMD release frame time fix your CF setup will still edge out a pair of 770 overclocked so I dont know why you will be bothered haha

GK110 was suppose to be 680, not a "bonus" to the 700 series line.
I do see why this is a bad thing...reselling the same **** a year later for the the same or more = bad thing imo.

More likely GK100 was supposed to be 680, GK110 was supposed to be 780 as it is.
