Hello! , Ae anyone have any news on new plates for the new intel cpus? I looked on a website these days about computex 2013, see the link

http://wccftech.com/intel-roadmap-confirms-x99-chipset-ddr4-haswell-e-processors-compatible-socket-lga-20113/#ixzz2VGBurjYn

intel said the new boards come with vain x99 support DDR4 memory, plus my doubt is will they release the ivy-birdge and later that year, 2013, or will direct pro-haswell and next year with the new mobos x99?

I really dont think we will see DDR4 next year and if we do you are going to have to rob a bank to get the money for DDR4

And i cant understand half of what you said

Eu realmente não acho que veremos DDR4 no próximo ano e se fizermos você vai ter que roubar um banco para conseguir o dinheiro para DDR4 E eu não consigo entender metade do que você disse

LGA2011-3 sounds interesting. How will that workout? WIll DDR3 and DDR4 have identical notch locations so that the same socket can be used for both? If it's gonna allow LGA2011 backwards compatibility, it needs to allow DDR3 backwards compatibility too. This will be tricky, so I doubt this will happen, but who knows? People are mad that the enthusiast platform is not updating quickly enough, but as long as they don't hurry it like they did with Haswell, I am fine with a system that is 2 generations back.

Either they will do like they did with the good old P45 boards and have some DDR3 boards and other DD4

Or the like they also did with P45 have both DDR3 AND DDR4 slots on the same board

I still dont think we will see DDR4 on LGA 2011 think those are for LGA next gen

From what we know on timelines so far there will be Ivy bridge-E chips out sometime in September 2013 or even pushed back a bit to December. With Haswell-E we essentially know nothing except the possibility of it being 8 cores for the lowest end chip and it may or may not have compatibility with upcoming DDR4. The Haswell-E series is projected to come out Q3 of 2014, but we won't know till we get there. biggrin.gif

Gosh, reading all these articles is going to give me high blood pressure. Especially with all the salt I've got to take with em. rolleyes.gif

Ivy bridge-e isn't even out yet and they're predicting stuff about haswell-e. My bet is X99 even if it's LGA2011, will require a different pin layout just to differentiate it from the current LGA2011. In fact, I really don't think Haswell-E will be compatible with current generation LGA2011 at all. Especially with the rumor of DDR4 being compatible with the chip. LGA2013 and X99 is where I'd put my money.

I may skip Ivy-E and jump to Haswell-E i dont know if a 4930K is a big enough upgrade for me Vs a 3820

And before anyone says i dont need Ivy-E or Haswell-E just get LGA 1150 i do a lot of video editing so i actually need more then 4 cores and dual channel RAM

Of course people are speculating about Haswell-E now, there's nothing else to speculate about right now. Haswell-DT has been released, and Ivy-E is a known quantity.

Anyhow, Assuming that Haswell-E has the same Integrated Voltage Regulator that Haswell-DT has, then there's really no way that it'll keep an identical socket to the current 2011.
