Shame about the RAM though, it's something like a 10-20% performance increase in gaming going from 1866 to 2133mhz. At least they aren't sending DDR3-1333 RAM! tongue.gif grats on getting confirmed, are you going to be posting a build log?
I was accepted into the program, and eagerly await my A10-6800k build as well. thumb.gif The reason why I think AMD isn't shipping the units with 2133, is because a majority of the A85X chipset motherboards don't support memory speeds above 1866 without overclocking. I am certain the memory will jump to 2133 with a quick profile change in the bios settings. Keep in mind the memory is "made" by AMD, so their memory warranty policies play in effect with our units (e.g. warranty void if overclocked).

Actually it's a supply issue. If they had opted to wait for the 2133 memory kits, it would have pushed the shipment of the build kits back a couple of weeks. There's a chance that they may still send the 2133 modules out after the kits ship. As far as the support for 2133, the A10-6800k comes right out of the box with DDR3-2133 support baked right in, so any FM2 motherboard (regardless of chipset) gets the fringe benefits of having the memory controller right on the APU's die.

Keep in mind, even tho the APU is built to support 2133 native. The motherboards are rated for 1866, anything higher would be considered "overclocking" by the motherboard manufacture. With the motherboards all being completely random, 1866 is the fastest each will support without swimming in "OC" conditions. So regardless whichever motherboard we receive, the memory will work within normal specifications of the board. I have my doubts that it is a supply/demand issue.

HI and congratulations Markallen1988 on being chosen for the AMD test drive! I was chosen also and was given the "FREE" products. My products were a bit different ...below I do a comparison.

You received (along with other goodies)-

• AMD A10-6800K APU
• MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 motherboard
• 2x4 AMD Radeon™ RP1866 Performance Memory
• Fractal Arc Midi R2 Case
• Fractal Tesla R2 650W Power Supply Unit
• Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 2.5" 60GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive
• LG 24X DVD Burner
• Windows 7

What I received-

AMD A10-6800K APU
MSI FM2 A85XA-G65 motherboard
2x4 AMD Radeon™ RP1866 Performance Memory
Fractal Arc Midi R2 Case
Fractal Tesla R2 650W Power Supply Unit
Kingston SSD Now V300 Series 2.5" 60GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive
LG 24X DVD Burner
AJIGO Heatsink -(received quickly upon request)
Windows 7 OS 32 bit Disc
Windows 8 OS 64 bit D/isc

The goodies I received were accelerated applications that are optimized to leverage AMD’s APU technology: Corel Aftershot*, CyberLink PowerDVD 13 and WinZip 17! If bought at full retail it would be a value of $230!
With current promotions those products are available at around $170!

*Corel AfterShot Pro (easy to follow instructions to get full license)

The difference is our motherboards: yours being the MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 and mine being MSI FM2 A85XA-G65.
Both great boards but still different in many ways....but I am very excited about the A85XA-G65 board sent to me!

I at first did not receive the links to the software but when I inquired about it the AMD Community team responded quickly and sent me the link. I was wondering if you received the information on getting the software? I am also looking forward to getting your next update on this build....with pics. I am not sure if they want pictures or videos but I get more information reading reviews and looking at pictures.

I look forward to the update on your build!!!!
