[TechPU] EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Classified and GTX 770 Classified Pictured - Page 10

I think they used them cause at the beginning of the 600 series MSI allowed some extra tweaking of voltages or something that gave them a huge overclocking advantage over other vendors which nvidia
did not approve of and MSI played stupid like it was an accident.( not sure about all the details). Anyway I'm sure the lightnings are still killer cards just not in my rig

Most extreme overclockers get free hardware, so I would not use this as a gauge. EVGA does not go out of its way to "sponsor" overclockers but instead works with a few on the development/engineering side.

Anyways, here is the price of the 780 Classified, and availability within about 1 week smile.gif http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=03G-P4-3788-KR

Looks beautiful! Do we need an EVBot to raise the voltage higher than 1.21v?

So I'm guessing the 780 classy HC will run @ $850? ($50 more then the standard 780 HC)

Yep, I think Jacob confirmed that in the evga forums. Still no word on whether it will allow voltage over 1.2. It has been confirmed to be compatible with EVbot though, so that gives hope. Card would be worthless without it pretty much.

Unlocked voltage control. They still have it with the correct bios. 1.37v via afterburner or until it melts with artmoney.
