Must of done something right... It's incredibly more than POE's numbers even on open beta launch day, and that's a free game. I like POE, but the majority of gamers find POE far too complex and overwhelming (and i'm not just talking about the skill tree, it's just not casual friendly in general). I played it hardcore at launch, and then tried to go back to it recently... it's insanely hard to get back into and that's a bad thing for this genre. Most people take regular breaks from it.

On the other hand, I get bored of D3 fast, but always go back to it every few months... it's insanely easy to "get caught up" in.
Dude.. your computer.. Did you really need to list every fan grill, filter, sleeving, cable, etc. That's crazy. wth.gif

That's one of the most accurate posts I've ever seen. I played PoE for awhile early on in the closed beta and it was great. Then a big patch came and changed just about all the mechanics of the game and I continued to play it for a bit. Then I tried to play it again a couple of months later and it was again COMPLETELY different and in my opinion not for the better. Been a year I would say since I last picked it up but can't imagine it's even close to being the same.

Don't get me wrong I like(d) PoE. It was just difficult to play a game that was changing so much so rapidly. Once it's complete and not getting major overhauls to its system I'm sure I'll love it.

I don't get all the Diablo 3 hate. Personally I like the game and am enjoying it thus far. I look forward to being able to play it with a control pad. I just wish this was an option in the PC version, then I wouldn't have to bother with a console version.

I think it mostly has to with the game requiring an internet connection and the real money auction house among other things. I haven't really played it so I can't really say for myself, but it did sound like the auction house caused quite a few problems. If Blizzard came out and said that the real money auction house was a mistake, I can imagine it was pretty bad. tongue.gif

Don't get me wrong - I don't hate the game at all. I just don't like where it sits in its current state today.

Call me spoiled, but there are certain things that are lacking from the game that were in the previous version of the game.

They said both of the auction houses and the itemization + the way things dropped was a mistake, not the RMAH wink.gif

Not really. Diablo formula & ARPGs in general exist b/c of computer nerds' love of maths combined with their love of fantasy. XB1 crowd = oblivious beer swilling bros. Consolers in general are far more casual& D3 requires a tremendous timesink to get anywhere near to end-game. Plus D3's graphics were dated before the game even released, & now it's basically a launch-title for next-gen? Nah. I'm sure the game will sell, but it'll be peanuts compared to the PC release & prob. every other next-gen launch title.

Oh well, D3PC was secretly the beta version of the console game...

You said the truth man!

Anyways, the market will probably be low as most of the people are already satisfied/ not going to buy it anymore.
