which rack should I get?

Hi! I have recently fixed up a server and it hosts some stuff at my house. The only problem is that I can't leave it on overnight or anything like that because I dont have a rack for it or any other proper cooling measures. I would like assistance finding a rack that would fit in my house. The server runs in a closet, so space is limited. I need at least 6u but at the most can have 18u. Also, it has to be deep enough to hold a few 1u and 2u servers. Any suggestions? I would love to get the cheapest one possible. I dont care much about looks. As I said, it runs in my closet.

Thanks in advance,

Carter

that is a good value for the specs of that rack. I will probably get that one unless I can find a better deal elsewhere, but I doubt that will happen

The slackracks are great if you don't need a lot of space and it will be out of the way. I just ordered a Skeletek Rack C24U-4P-EX16. (http://www.dantraknet.com/category/41) . Gives you 24 U total space with 8U of two post and 16U of 4 post. For around $250 shipped it is next to unbeatable. It is expandable as well. Just another option for those of you looking for an affordable simple rack.

Edit: They offer a lot more options from 12U to 28U. Calling or emailing you can get them to put together a custom build from existing parts.

by the way, how much weight can a lackrack hold? I am probably going to put 100 lbs of stuff in it. Would any sort of support be needed?

oh and lackracks are cheap and easily stacked. so if you run out of space, you just order another for $20 shipped
