XBOX ONE USES ALWAYS ONLINE DRM!!

Except for the 23 hours and 56 seconds a day that it actually doesn't need to be always connected.

ALL OF THE TIME!

Always.

Except for the +90% of the time when it isn't actually required to connect to the internet.

CONSTANTLY.

Forever.

How could it possibly be any clearer? headscratch.gif

If xbo requires an "always on connection", does that mean that multiplayer games require an "an actually always on connection"?

How do I distinguish between the two, given that they apparently have the same implications, despite their quite obvious difference in application?

When is always, "always"? When it isn't? Or when it is?

It won't work. Microsoft is too heavily invested in the DRM. They've got it linked to the Azure cloud and they want to end the gravy train that they say is ruining gaming...used games. The fact that the console can not be operated without kinect, needs to check every 24 hours for DRM verification and you still have to pay for xbox live make it an unappealing console to own. Right now Sony is being tight lipped, but I believe they have more room for adjustment because they are leaving the DRM up to the publishers and developers.

Yeah, I won't surprised Customers have to enter a 25-character alphanumeric product key to run the next version of any DVD games such as Halo, Gears of War, Forza.

If Microsoft wanted to support PC gaming, I guess this is the best they could do.
i am surprised that this doesn't have gps type drm, preventing you from lending your xbox console itself to a friend.
Don Mattrick said that if you don't like xbox ones drm and online policy, go buy a 360

it'll be up on GT in a couple of minutes

More good news: Xbox One won't be supported, among other places, in Poland and Portugal when the console launches this November.

Worse, it looks like you won't be able to import an Xbox One if you live there because you won't be able to activate games with an Xbox Live account registered in an unsupported region.

Lol and haters call it greed...im not a fanboy but...they are marketing it towards a specific market, cant really complain if you are not in that market. They are trying to make the xbox one the center of your living room and they are doing a decent job of it. Notice i said decent, not perfect.
