[IGN] Microsoft details on Xbox one used games and always online - Page 5

Nah the consoles will still be big they have huge install bases and sadly for as much as enthusiasts may...regular consumers don't vote with their wallet. They purchase and hope for the best or they adapt.

What ms is going to do is come out of pocket badly to try and get exclusives to the exclusion of ps4 and PC.

I'm never buying this junk but what's all the stuff about being online?

While that is an impressive number that is still less then 50% of all 360's sold. No wonder there xbox division made a billion in profit last year.

Going to be hilarious to watch everyone unable to use their boxes after 24hrs when Live service goes down or blocked at the University dorms or barracks. (yes it will happen)

Not just that but MS has just put the biggest bullseye on their servers, hahaha can't wait for the day were Anonymous or someone else disrupts their service and renders all the xbones useless.

Having to connect to the Internet at least once every 24 hours might as well be always online. Having to connect every hour if you are signed into your account on another xbone is the same thing, even more so.

So the xbone is always online.

In terms of used games sales they leaving it up to publishers. You know what that means? No used game sales unless the publisher is controlling the price and getting a cut.

Hence there are no used games in the way there traditionally has been.

This confirms everyone's worst fears about the Xbox One. Always online and no used games. They are trying to word it to make it seem like perhaps its not really that way, but when you read the details it is very clearly that way.

This is why they hemmed and hawed, why they equivocated, because the backlash was massive and they knew it would be. It is why they have cancelled their QA after E3.

Now all that remains to be seen is whether consumers will care enough about this not to buy the thing or whether they'll complain but buy it anyway. I hope for the former but suspect it will be the latter.

So you can lend your game (once)

Kinect is A COMPLETE NON-ISSUE

Seems you can have 10 family members per login.......can't your friend just be part of that login?

Other used game transaction policies are up to the developers.....SAME AS SONY'S POLICY

Sure, 10, on the same console
