All of the consoles this gen are rather silly, but I guess the Xbone takes home the reward as the Silliest and most absurd console ever. rolleyes.gif

It will be the latter most likely because ppl still want to play uncharted or halo or whatever. Seeing as I wasn't interested in either to begin with all that concerns me is how much they'll spend on keeping games off pc

Actually it is not. You can download your game/s in Steam and then go into offline mode and not connect ever again yet still play your games. I have done this while traveling and it has always worked great for me. Microsoft has given no such option for the Xbox One.

I should also say, even if you get caught unaware and have an internet outage, you can still play your games in your Steam library for 90 days before reconnecting. This happened to me once years ago when our modem died. I didn't get a new for about 4 days. The only caveat is that you must have your credentials saved on that machine for this to work.

With news that the U.S. intelligence agencies have a direct tap into the servers of the United States’ largest internet companies, we can kill all this right now by just by telling Conservative and Tea Party message boards that the Obama administration is forcing Microsoft to require online and Kinect in a plot to spy on them.

They'd eat that up so fast the House would be calling for a special panel to investigate within a week.

Kinect is A COMPLETE NON-ISSUE

Seems you can have 10 family members per login.......can't your friend just be part of that login?

Other used game transaction policies are up to the developers.....SAME AS SONY'S POLICY

The Kinect is still just as much of an issue as it was before. It is still on when the device is on...you can only pause it. Whatever that means. I want it off...dead...completely gone. In fact the only Xbox I'd consider buying would be one without a kinect. I've said this before and I will say this again, the soothing "it is OK and not hurting anything" attitude is always assuming normal operation with no malware getting on the device and changing how it operates.

The 10 family member thing is definitely interesting. That is so getting abused. Seriously, if you are sharing it with family just use one log on...well, unless they are all logging in at the same time on different devices. I see people just getting into a ring of 10 people and just splitting the cost of games and each using a log in for it.

I was assuming Microsoft would follow Sony's stance on used games...and surprise they did. Used games are still dead for the most part though. Does any one really think an outfit like EA is going to willingly allow people to resell their games? With this stance MS and Sony also gets to shed the blame onto the publishers when people can't sell a game.

I'd like to know why they couldn't have just let this info out during the reveal. It probably would have saved them a lot of face. However, the kinect is still a deal breaker for me. The PS4 is looking pretty good to me so far. With modding getting taken out of the majority of PC gaming I find my self caring less and less about it. I might as well get a console and game with near zero head aches. Though I look at PC gaming as half the game is getting the game to run better, or even at all, half the time.

That once a day internet connection *just to be able to play games* really kills it for me.... I work away from mayor cities quite often where internet is shoddy at best. After an 11 hour shift on site I don't wanna get home and find I CAN'T do some gaming just because my internet has been down all day thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Can't always lug my desktop around (and I'm planning on building a WC loop). So console is my only viable option. PS4 is looking more and more attractive from where I'm sitting
