It's just more like your PC. I'm sure people here don't walk around to their friend's houses with their desktops in their backpacks.

just saying people cannot point to steam and say "the xbox one policy is the same." 90 days is a lot different than every day. also consoles are more social, hence there is more of an appeal to bringing a game or the system to a friends house-multiplayer on one system

If you can't sell the games that you own they would get sued by the European council as always wink.gif

how did they deal with those recent EA games that would have a 1 time online access code within each game box? The code would unlock all of the online features and such. That way, the second hand user only got the singleplayer part and non of the extra features. Does that still break the EU's law?

From the sounds of it you use your digital copy for playing on another xbox one. I hardly doubt it'll take an hour to download an xbox one game from the cloud. I'm sure they're pretty big.
"Players will be able to access their entire games library from Xbox One, with no disc required. You sign in and install a game once, and then a digital copy of your game is stored both on your console and in the cloud. You can buy a game either as a disc or a downloadable online product." -srry had to quote this off my phone its from Game Beats can't link cause I'm behind web filter.

So it's a pretty shady area yet to be fully disclosed. The way I read it is kinda like going to Walmart, buying a PC game and redeeming the code on the inside of the case on steam so it adds it to your game library. So you can access the game from the cloud and install it on your friends xbox one if your signed in under your account. Thing that I'm not sure of if the disc can be taken to your friends and installed yada yada....I would hope so

Umm i think thats called a LAN Party.

anyway what they should have done is keep the current format/rules about used games and have the developers do something about the resale of games IN STORES ONLY (online stores to be debated).
Its like microsoft is trying to make people anti social physically. If i cant go over to my friends house and bring a game over, ill probably go over to my friends house less often. Also we need to bring the ban hammer down on this licencing and not owning nothing.

Also about the kinect, im too lazy to check, but did it say that Microsoft will not use them for survey lance purposes? cause if it did, what about other organizations? In the 1980's people were hella paranoid about censoring and surveylance but ever since 9/11 we have seemed to forget about our rights and absolute coercive strength as the power source for these networks and organisations. Too bad that they got really good at distracting us with taxes, laws, and shiny things

Oh I agree. It's pretty ridiculous. I'd like to think that the 24 hour "check" is actually somehow beneficial to the gamer (up to date/ maybe some features we're unaware of/ etc..) but most likely just piracy precaution.

"Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners."

http://techland.time.com/2013/06/07/microsofts-xbox-one-used-games-policies-are-clear-as-mud/#ixzz2VXQUaOmM

So no gamefly at launch, I never tried gamefly wonder if there's enough people using this service to make it a big deal?

I guess not as you could sell the product whether it being limited or not but then again consumer protection is so high I think the might also complain about that.

"and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time"

Wow, I though the 10 family member thing sounded pretty good, but it sounds like only 1 of my family member will be able to play any of my games at the same time.
So if I have 2 brothers and they each have their console only one of them will be able to use my games even if they want to play different games.

This is it, not getting an xbone.
