240 rad and nzxt 210 elite

This question is 2 part...I'm planning to make a midplate and putting a240 push pull rad up front (getting rid of hdd Bays) first if one fan blows above and one above the midplate will that be ok.i was wondering cause warm afoot would blow out bottom hole in front of psu, then psu would suck it in...second i would like to put on set of fans outside the case (under front cover) anyone know if that case can draw enough air around cover? Out do i just need to cut cover and get fancy with some grills?

that psu airflow is in the wrong direction. with a midplate, the air would have nowhere to go after going through the rad.
quick simple answer.

you can mount psu's that way though? I don't get what he means by midplate?

id do it like this anyway?

wouldn't make a difference putting the psu the other way? I thought that's what he said but I read it wrong!

new psu can suck from top or bottom and blow out the back. it depends on which way you want to put the psu in, fan side up or fan side down.

a midplate is a divider between the 'motherboard area' and the 'psu area'. it extends from the back of the chassis at the pci slots all the way forward as far as it can(to case front or hdd bays or rad/fan) and reaches from side to side of the inside case. its a nice addition if your case and airflow supports it.

you couldnt do it exactly as you want, the fan sucks and blows in the opposite direction of your drawing. also the psu 'top' would probably be about 1/4" from the midplate. using a matx mobo he may be able to but his airflow from that front rad fan wont have anywhere to go.

oh I get you now about the midplate & yeah I just noticed I have put the psu fan arrows blowing the wrong way lol?

couldn't he just do it the way I have shown & put a grill in the front of the case, turn the psu around & make a small plate there ontop of the psu for a couple of HDD's?

Kinda like the pic...but with all the arrows in the other direction.rad suck from the front, blow into case.above midplate exhausr out top...no biggie.below midplate exaust out bottom in front of psu . Psu suck in from bottom exhaust out back.....

This is my first wc setup and i font know how hot exhaust air is, out of it'd be to warm for psu to intake safely....
Main thing is air though front panel has no grill.out has slots around the side for intake air. It has a spot for 2 120mm fans so i assume it would be able to draw enough air.....but the slots just look big enough to allow for sufficient air flow.....

and corsair uses crap for factory case fans. i know the 500r fans move barely any air. just use low rpm fans in the front. something along the lines of low speed yate loons. they spin at 1350rpm and move enough air. i use 5 on my 360 and 2 on my 240. youll need a higher rpm and cfm fan to push out the bottom. you will also have to see how much of that warm air the side panel fans will pull back in.
youre using a matx board right? if not, thats going to interfere with a midplate.
i would try putting the rad in the top myself. if you use low profile ram like the samsung wonder/majic/green ram, you can gain a good inch of clearance over heatsinked ram.
