These are the one's i'm looking at

Asus M5A99X-EVO R2 ($143)
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3 990FX ($152)
ASUS M5A99FX-Pro R2 ($158)

I will be using a AMD quadcore 955 and these are the tasks I want to get done smile.gif

A little bit of overclocking not to far but also might be watercooling in the future
Running just one graphics card there might be a second.
I do a lot of video editing and a bit of gaming

I'm pretty stuck on which one to get but at the end of the day there all gonna do the same thing I guess I would just like to see what you guys would recommend?

Get one of the ASUS boards. The EVO only has a few less SATA connectors and the PRO is better if you want to Crossfire or SLI in the future because it has two 16x PCI slots where the EVO has one 16x and the other is only 8x. Either one of those boards will be good for you though, better than the Gigabyte imho. Cheers.

Check the ASRock 990fx 4 at MicroCenter for $140. It is a killer board. They also have the Gigabyte 990fx-UD5 for $145. The UD5 and UD7 are much better than the UDS3.

I am looking for a 990fx motherboard as well.

The M5A99X PRO is a good idea for you, but if you have the budget I would go with the ASUS Sabertooth. The only RMA I had to deal with was an Asrock board, and it came DOA twice. The other couple of builds I have done were with ASUS MoBo's and I have had no problems. I know this was just luck of the draw and now the AsRock MoBo works great, but sending it back twice was not the business. I guess I am just a fan of ASUS at this point, they are quality. Cheers.

Actually the Gigabyte wouldve been the best out of those 3 as its the only one with 8+2 power phase. Still, the Pro is a great board.

Well I can say I'm really happy with the Asus Pro I was looking at other but I would suggest the Asus any day.
