Headset\headphones as main sound source

Thread Starter
Hello guys, once again same old thread, i need some headset (i know but i dont like wires running all over my desk) that will be used as main sound source since i cant use speakers because of the kid(not mine biggrin.gif ) and i will be mainly overnight gaming watching movies\some music

I play FPS most of the time (bf3 noob)
i have Asus Xonar DX sound card and i wont be changing it for some time need to focus on some other upgrades of the machine.

I like the closed headsets since i dont want any sound escaping from ear cups.
Used to have Logitech g930 and they ware very good( i moved from 10e headset to g930 its an improvement) but since i needed to rma them 3 times due connection issues and dongle was faulty i dont want to mess around that anymore. I was using them in 7.1 virtual and feeling was like lower volume but sound is all around, didnt see so much use for it in the battlefield or other games.

What you guys think about Sennheiser PC-350 Special Edition? they cost 170e here.

If you can recommend me something in that price range that would be great.

Also can be Headphones+microphone (i want to be able to use voice activation and not need to talk to my tits biggrin.gif in order to activate it biggrin.gif )

Thanks in advance smile.gif

PC-360 are better IMHO, but it is probably common knowledge by now that I am nottthe biggest fan of Sennheiser. Still, if you MUST go with a headset, at least with the PC-360 you are not subjecting your ears to the equivalent of a very dull needle slowly perforating your ear drum and then scrambling your brain (my completely subjective, bias-free description of what almost all headsets actually sound like wink.gif ).
A pair of "real" cans and a decent condenser mic will be very much superior, but I understand that there are a lot of factors that could potentially prevent or at least dissuade a person from going that route.

PC 350s are what you are looking for thumb.gif

If you want headphones+ mic, then get the ath-a900x and some mic that works. IDK if the modmic is available where you live, but try and get that..

i wanted to go pc-360 but since they are open, i dont know... i like the sound of open headphones it is much more clear, i dont know how much sound is bleeding outside, and if when i turn the volume up the kid in the next room would be able to hear it trough the closed door(sounds nuts i know).

i tought pc 350 and 360 have only closed/open difference in cups everything else is the same??

You can give me some other headset or headphone+mic recommendations i see i am limited with choices with headsets...

qpad qh-90 are also a good, valid alternative and it's cheaper. the cable is hyper short to plug it to your keyboard (that's what I did) if you don't use the additional long cable and or the comand cable so no wires everywhere.
