[GS] - New Zealand guy chooses to stay at jail over playing Xbox 360

Thread Starter
"A 19-year-old man under house arrest in Whangarei, New Zealand, has pleaded with police to serve out the final stretch of his 11-month sentence in jail because he was "sick of playing Xbox." because he said that "run out of Xbox games to play"

He said that he run out games , and so he contacted the police and told that he wants to stay at the prison for the remaning months of 11 under house arrest. What honest guy, also this message to micosoft to start focusing on games instead of Tv gimmick so nobody runs out of games in the new xbox. In my opinon he should have Pc gaming where he can alot of free 2 play game, so he want run out of games.

What an idiot. Hes going to be just as bored in prison as he will be at home and it will be a lot more dangerous.

Either way he wouldn't have the problem at all if he didn't commit the crime that got him into that situation in the first place.

You never know, some people like it in prison. I don't know what prisons are like new zealand, but maybe he had an abusive relative or something... I find it odd that he got bored of xbox games after only 1 month.

Wasnt one month. He only had 1 month left. I think he had already managed 11 months or something like that. Prisons in NZ arent that much different from other western countries. Have a mix of old prisions that have no modern amenities. Very unpleasant places to work in. Others are very modern and are designed to look like a hotel complex from the outside so they dont look as bad an eyesore for the neighbours.

either way you spend almost the entire day in your cell and you dont have xbox in your cell and are dominated by rival gangs. Have had prison riots at 3 prisions in the last year.

I guess there are some people who would rather be in jail but I've never been able to understand it.

Theres those who have lived prison life so for so long that when they are released, they cannot adjust to life after prison at all. Some will go as far as to commit another crime just to go back.

I know that all to well. I made some mistakes when I was a teenager, and served 5 years in prison because I was a drug addict. (been clean for 10 years cheers.gif) during my time served, I would see several people come back. Alot get use to being big shots in the joint, then when they hit the streets they are nobodies, so they simply go back. Or they are mentally just awkward and prefer it. I took a few years to not be socially awkward around people, and to this day I have nightmares. It messes you up for life if your in there long enough.

Who knows, maybe he has a boyfriend in prison and was getting sorta lonely? smile.gif. If he doesn't I'm sure he'll find one.
