can i earn money becoming a programmer??? Which way to go? - Page 2

Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is the way to go. If you want to stick to programming, then what was said before is solid about a degree in CS. It would be more valuable to have an engineering background and a solid knowledge of c++ and java.

From what I've seen, it comes down to who you know. I would suggest getting started on internships and get involved with your IEEE group on campus. Like someone already said here, get some freeware and projects under your belt for your portfolio.

You're onyour way. Java and C are the good options. Thinking on the most money topic I would recommend you to think about ABAP but you should have a good economics and business basis.
And once again: pay attention to your portfolio.
