Btw, you don't need that pump top kit, it's only for people who don't want tubing going from pump to reservoir. Aesthetics basically. Some people prefer drivebay reservoirs, some prefer cylinder. I prefer cylinder because their easier to drain and look nice in a sleek and clean build. thumb.gif

not easyer to drain if you install a drain port in your loop they can loop better but who spends a ton of time looking inside their computer case lol.

I am ashamed. I do. tongue.gifrolleyes.gif Hey man, if you going to mod a TJ07, ya may as well show it off. wink.gif

Btw, I use a Koolance Drain Valve. I guess draining a loop from a drivebay reservoir is no different. I hear bleeding it of air is a pain though.

some people dont like or have the room for a bay res. a pump can make the res vibrate in some cases. it depends on how well both the case and res were built. and i wouldnt trust those xspc res. they are known to warp and leak in as soon as 3 months. theres quite a few people posting in threads. better off going with acrylic if you buy xspc.

Thread Starter
I don't spend much time looking inside my case, lol. I am definitely getting a MCP655 (most likely the vario). But I'm unsure about the XSPC reservoir, a couple of reviews and some forum posts are citing quality control issues with that particular XSPC reservoir, things like a warped panel (locations can vary) and thread leaks (cracked housings there, maybe). I've been a bit of a gambler with my PC, I think I'll give it a whirl though, I've gotten good customer support from XSPC in the past when my last pump/reservoir failed.

BTW, Sidewinder does have what you linked Bal3 already together from XSPC, XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir/Pump Combo Featuring Laing D5 Vario pump - with Tach Sensor, thought you might like to know, they probably just got it.

good deal i like sidewinder i bought most my watercool gear from them and jab-tech best prices on wc gear and with jab-tech you can use coupon code facebook. My xspc res is going on over 3 years without a single problem so like anything its a toss up treat it good and it might last forever.
