Liquid Cooling Suggestions

Thread Starter
I am new to liquid cooling and currently have a mid-range computer, I was wanting to liquid cool the cpu, ram, and graphics card. I wold prefer all copper blocks and rads, but I do not know what brands are the best for lga 1155 cpu block. I currently have a gtx 650ti boost, and was considering upgrading to gtx 670 or 780. What water blocks or rads are the most recommended for a first liquid cooling loop?

XSPC has a good starter kit if you dont want to pic out all of the parts. Look at xspc radiators and xspc blocks or ek blocks. I use performance-pcs.com for all of my watercoooling. they have a good selection and most of the time they have the best price on wc parts.

Agree with what he said for a first time cpu loop a xspc kit will be great such as this one:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_202_972&products_id=34960 but be warned it does not come with coolant in the default configuration but you cana add it.
Then on top of that if you want to cool your graphics card you will need a block for that depending on what card you get and then 2 extra fittings. You will still be fine with a 360mm radiator as the general rule is 120mm of rad space for each block plus an extra 120mm for head room.
You will not see any performance gains or anything by cooling your ram. Ram does not really get hot these days so it is fine without a waterblock, the only reason to do it now is for aesthetic reasons. If you do want to do it then you will need an extra 120mm of rad space.

I know the ram does not need the liquid cooling, but cooling the ram and if possible the chipset looks cool even if there isn't any real benefit. smilingsmiley.gif
