[ER] Xbox One Hits Record Breaking Pre-Orders. - Page 17

Well the whole "No internet connection no XBONE" thing might be a tough pill for some people, but PC is pretty much the same. I recently changed ISPs' and had a week of down time between old and new with no connection. SC2 HOTS and Diablo III were first to go(about 1 day). Next was my steam account(about 3-4 days). The only game I have that would endlessly play offline is Minecraft. I'm not defending Microshat, but their not the only ones that require you to be online. Its too bad because that was a plus about having a consol....Having mobility. What happens if you want to sell this thing to your buddy? Guess he would have to play your account or throw away your games and start fresh?

If i buy a console i expect it to play the game i want no matter what, no internet connection?, i can still play, is supposed to be simple, is not a PC and i don't want it to be, is not supposed to have all this requirements and crap that we need to play on the Xbox One, i think that's the whole point of the consoles, i sit down, power up the machine and done, i'm playing a game. Hopefully the PS4 don't have any of this requirements... Sony is sneaky sneaky.gif though, we will see, E3 week starts tomorrow, i can't wait biggrin.gif.

I thought Blockbuster UK died...source

I agree the title is misleading, I would be very very suprised if anyone pre orders the Xbox one.

Not everyone is uninformed. We just have jobs, lots of money, and could care less about DRM. I myself NEVER buy used games. I always buy new straight from Amazon. Many of my mates could care less as well. We all make plenty to afford $60 games and $30 season passes.

The people making noise about DRM, always online and other issues with the console aren't necessarily an accurate representation of what consumers think as a whole.

You're wrong about that. You seem to forget that this thread represents less than .1% of the people owning Xbox 360s. Everyone in this thread is the minority.

EDIT: IF you took all the unique posters across Reddit/NEOGAF/Overclock.net/youtube/Reddit etc posting in Anti-Xbox One Threads they would all still equal the minority.

Xbox One is going to sell well no matter what we post in forums.

What people post is a representation of a sample size. It's not a literal count of everyone who won't buy it, with everyone else buying it.

Any and all sites that have a game forum all look the same. Just looking at some mainstream gaming sites like gametrailers, gamespot, ign, & kotaku; the forums & comments show the trend of the majority of console gamers being unhappy and skipping xb1; or else switching to (or sticking to) Playstation (PS4) is overwhelmingly consistent.

The fact of the matter is people are either informed gamers, or else they make their buying choices based on the recommendations of informed gamers. Either way the tide only moves in one direction.
