Unlock Afterburner limits on lots of cards! some with LLC (One tool for all AB versions)

Cards this should work on
Would still need to be tested, i don't own all these cards to test. Also for some cards the VDDC settings have to be added first for it to work.

Titan
690
780
680
780 Lightning
770 Lightning
680 Lightning
680 POWER EDITION
670 POWER EDITION
660TI POWER EDITION
760 hawk
760 hawk Lightning
660 hawk
650 ti hawk
580 Lightning
560 SE
480 Lightning
460 hawk
420gt

Note: It wont work on every 680 for example and it can also work on other cards, any card that has these vddc's. Different pcbs use different ones that's the reason some 680s will work and others not for example.

NCP4206
L6788A
UP6204
VT1556
VT1165
CHL8228
CHL8266
UP6262
CHL8318

First here's how to find out your vddc (Click to show)

Google search something like this, for this example i will use Asus 770 Direct cu II so change that for your gpu. (Keep it simple don't put in a long model number just the basic name)
Quote:
asus 770 directcu ii techpowerup

Look for the one that says review and click it.

Scroll down to the bottom and click on this box which shows you all the pages of the review.

Click A closer look.

Now scroll down and its always just after the picture of the power connectors and you will see the VDDC.

As you can see on this card it uses a ASP1212 which isnt on the list at the top of the page so wont work. If your VDDC is on the list more than likely the program wont just work and you will need to add some text to a file in the afterburner install directory, use the tool to add the correct one with its built in adder under advanced or post here and I or someone can help.

Demo of me bypassing the 1.3v limit with the old version of the tool

Guide

This is what you will see when you first run the tool.

If you/afterburner use the offset method for voltage control click that example image.

If you/afterburner use the actual voltage number or direct voltage method click that example image

Note: You will only have to choose this the first time you run the tool. After that the setting will be saved and remembered. If for whatever reason you want to switch between them there's a way ill show you further down this guide.

Im going to choose offset as that's what i use with my 770 Lightning, so i just click the little picture with the +75. Then we see this.

We can see 3 sections that say "Error!" the reason these say error is because we haven't shown the tool where to look for the afterburner values.

So we click Advanced, and now we see this.

To get the tool to talk to afterburner we then click edit. A message box will pop up telling you what clicking that will do. Read it and click ok.

Now we can put text into the little box next to the edit button. This is used to user update the tool to whatever version of afterburner you want to choose. Im using version 3.0.0 but a list will be provided and updated on what to put in the box at the bottom of this post.

The codes to put in this box need to be copied and pasted only in one way, if you don't do it like this the tool won't work!

This is whats needed for afterburner 3.0.0
Code:
AB 3.0.0
458708
45873C
458770

For it to work you need all 4 lines nothing more nothing less anything different or extra and it will not work! So copy and paste them into the box like so, and click save.

Now its reading values from afterburner and it will also write to it.

Under the advanced option

We have loads of other options and a brief on your system stats. This can be helpful to provide to others if you cant get the tool to work or just a system related problem where you need to provide details. These don't fill in strait away the first time the tool is run just wait and they will display.

Voltage type

This is where you can switch the voltage option that you set when you first run the tool. This can be handy if you have 2 different cards as different cards use different methods.

NCP4206 Tools

This is where you check your card status if you are using a NCP4206 VDDC choose your card number first or leave at 1 if you only have 1 GPU. Find which one you need, ri3 or ri4 and use the corresponding one to write 0% LLC. If you need more help with this feature there's plenty of guides around or post and someone can help.

VDDC Settings

The drop down box is all the different VDDC's that may need adding depending on what your card is. Choose the correct one and hit "Add VDDC" the big box of writing above it is your afterburner profile. After you have added the vddc you can see if it went on the profile correct in there. Above this once more is your different cards/profiles, if you only have one card it will end in FN_0.cfg. Makes sure you choose the FN_0.cfg in the list to put the vddc setting on card 1. If you have more than 1 card you will have one of these files for each ranging from FN_0 to FN_3 if you have 4 cards.

If you click advanced again it will shrink the tool back down to just the normal settings.

You can either type what you want to set or click the little up/down arrows next to it.

Moving the slider in afterburner will change the number in the tool also.

After you enter your values click send and make a adjustment in afterburner so you are able to click apply. I normally double click the fan auto setting to turn it off then back on so i can click apply.

Afterburner code list for the tool

Remember only copy the 4 lines for whatever version your using. Under the send button on the tool is what version your using.

AB version 3.0.0.2384
Code:
AB 3.0.0
458708
45873C
458770

AB version 3.0.1.2390
Code:
AB 3.0.1
458708
45873C
458770

AB version 4.0.0.4560
Code:
AB 4.0.0 B9
464d10
464d44
464d78

Info about 4.1.0 code is in my post 1205
http://www.overclock.net/t/1398725/unlock-afterburner-limits-on-lots-of-cards-some-with-llc-one-tool-for-all-ab-versions/1200_100#post_23917621
This will be the last version of the tool and im no longer going to work on it. I will post the codes for afterburner for you to update your tool. You can also request afterburner versions.

Nice results. I wonder if these lightnings clock higher overall than the 680 Lightnings.

it may do the 2 options

1. remove your cooler and check what this chip is

2. just try pasting them codes in the file or the file with a similar name and see if it works, there for the CHL8318 chip though
I should game.

can you guys upload your lightening bios? I tried afterburner before but i did not have the option to add extra voltage on the Gamer series. It was just blank, so i had to do it by modding the bios with the Keplerbiostwearker tool...

I also increased my power-target to 149%

I want to try flashing the Gamer Series to the Lightening series and see if it works on it wink.gif
