Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this.

I am going to be live looping with Ableton Live. I am shopping for a sound card, but the options are overwhelming. I am going to need a card that can handle both a guitar and microphone input (1/4" on each of those) with fairly low latency and with decent quality preamps. It must be compatible with a Windows 7 64-bit PC. I am willing to spend up to $300, but I'd rather keep it a bit cheaper if possible. My research has led me to check out various cards (M-Audio Fast Track Pro, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP, and a few others). My main concern is that I see nearly all of these external sound cards have driver issues that affect a large percentage of users. Would it be wise to consider an internal card? Have any of you had experience with any fairly problem-free sound cards? Thanks for any pointers!
