They're currently in Heathrow thumb.gif

And hey, it's not my fault they closed for so long! I was about to order before they did, I swear I really was ;-;

Because I'm fool and we were running late we forgot to take the case to bunbury and get it sorted (apparently there's a pretty epic metal works guy right next door to acrylics dude I normally go to who does things on the cheap) so trying to think of solution for up here.

Ordered the first batch of ColdZero parts (after the store being closed so the owner could catch up on orders for a few months) so I can get some stuff in and plan where I need to have things cut and fixed. I'm having a custom midplate made up by them with the holes of tubing already cut so I can't mess that up. Lasers are better than drills!

Settled on iATX for come on why not. Will look neato and tube routing should work out better.

Here's what I got:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Woo!
Good to see you went with IATX.thumb.gif
It's up to the individual, of course, but I've always liked that ability of the TJ07.
It's going to be cool to be able to see the top of your video card(s) through the clear top window.biggrin.gif

Aside from catching up, I noticed that CZ has expanded their products. But I do find it weird to see lighted midplates for Corsair 900D's now, since that used to be a TJ07 exclusive.tongue.gif
I agree with you having them make the midplate tubing holes, they will be perfect, and no worries about screwing it up!

Thanks biggrin.gif
It is pretty neat. I thought it could do it out of the box the first time I got it haha; that is to say with no modding.
I might have to get a 7x0 now! The waterblocks are just super sexy :3

Yeah there's also lightboxes that mount into the 5.25"s. So many cool new things.
Woo! Hopefully I just don't mess up the measurements tongue.gif

They tried to deliver but I was out of house looking after sick girlfriend and flatmate was at work. They'll deliver again tomorrow hopefully. Trying to devise a method of painting up here without ruining both the walls of the house and the parts.

Until next time!

What's this?

Argh! Oh well. It's the bottom right corner, small, completely cosmetic and will be hidden by the res.

It's just a little beaten up, it's still good, it's still good!

Everything absolutely bleeds quality.

The backplate. It's actually upside down haha. Shows me how much I know!

I would just like to state that I believe the damage to the motherboard tray is through no fault of ColdZero. I think the delivery was too rough and blame DHL. If it was a more serious issue I would take it up with someone but I'm more than happy with the quality and detail in every single piece - even if there's now one too many tongue.gif. I would absolutely will and am going to order again from ColdZero in the future, they're the only place that does what they do to the level they do it. If you have a TJ07, 900D, 800D or Switch 810 I'd recommend checking them out, also have a large range of graphics cards blackplates and assorted bits and bobs.

Worth every penny.

(Also no, I'm not sponsored by CZ at all. I just believe that making a solid bit of gear is the best you can do, customers should do the rest in term of advertising.)

Now, things left to do:
  • Get metal work done on case. Fix holes and bits of damage as well as get the front to be one large flat surface. Either metals or acylic and surface filler.
  • Fresh coat of paint on everything that's staying.
  • Buy last bits of watercooling.
  • Measure tubing locations.
  • Get some custom parts from CZ. Full floor lightbox/midplate, maybe a new window panel and probably something else while I'm there.
  • Install that business!

Then I can put hardware in. If I get the metals done and the case how I want it I might run air cooled for a bit while I save up for more watercooling bits.

Very nice!thumb.gif
Sorry to see that broken corner on the motherboard tray, but as you said, it will be hidden by the res. I've got to agree it must have been the fault of DHL.
I had several shipments from CZ, over a year and a half time span, in multiple cartons, and not one piece was damaged in any way.
Which I figured was a complete fluke, considering how the shipping companies handle things!

I like how the CZ parts have bonus features too, like the threaded holes for cable clips, and the dual ssd holder provision on the mobo tray.
And no need to powdercoat or paint their parts.

Looking forward to seeing your future customizing, that's quite a list to follow yet!

Yeah that sucks major balls, but we'll be replacing his tray for a new one, once we get bigger cartons (for free of course)
The ones we have right now are a tight fit for this Mobo tray.

Howdy all. First off, my girlfriend's been in and out of hospital three times in the last month so that's sort of the most important, secondly I'm back at work again if I haven't stated so I have money to kick around again haha.

Did some sleeving yesterday on the front panel. Removed all the cables except the power and sleeved that and put it back in. Have to say I'm pretty chuffed with how it turned out for my first try but knowing me sometimes I'll probably go back and re do it.

Just a small note. Nothing crazy. Have the weekend to tinker and thinking of going to buy some stuff from the hardware store because I'll have to cop it eventually (and who ever regretted picking up a cordless?).

Cheers!
