I have to update my cpu/board like yesterday. tongue.gif

Techreport commented on how well the 7970GHz was doing for frame times in their 780 review. Haven't checked the other review sites favored with Nvidia FCAT hardware, I guess I should check if pcper 780 review acknowledges AMD's single card frame time improvements.

Because people have to complain about something.

I think it is, it's not quite clean like a modern GeForce is. Then again, I prefer the looks like the ACX cooler and TwinFrozr.
This isn't good as stock cards come, but I'm glad to see a stock cooler that isn't a blower...I'd rather have 2-3c higher CPU temperatures in exchange for near silent cooling that keeps my GPU at good temps!

Still, I'd rather just have the cable unless it comes with a bunch of converters to ensure I have enough...And I do want to get one of those 1440p PLS screens and OC it in future, so yeah. I get that DP is the better interface, etc but the fact is that it's not on every screen.

Even today it's not that bad:

Eh, I'd personally say that a x1950Pro is better.
In fact, this is one of the only cards that's made me want a blue PCB.

It's simple, but that's what I like. That siad, the 8800GTX isn't that bad with the right sticker, I loved the BFG one.

the hd 7790 and 8770 share the same pci id they are the same in every way except clocks

Then the HD8770 is GCN1.1, or more likely GCN1.1 is GCN2.0 with a bunch of more expensive (In power, size, etc) features left out as AMD isn't giving it a proper name.
