Will definitely give it a shot.

I simply set the multi to 42x first to see what happens, stock load voltage was 1.200 so I left it alone. The chip seems fine here, it reaches a max temp of 90*C after 10 runs of IBT or around 85*C with AIDA 64, I am using a Megahalems with a single fan. How far should I try to push it? This heatsink isn't the biggest but it seems to be working fairly well so far.
My original Megahalems could only handle about 1.21v, anymore than that would hit 100°c.
why would you spend so much on a cpu and motherboard and then use an old, low level heatsink?
Haswell runs hot, we all know this, and that you need to delid the chip to even approach it to be overclockable. Get a half decent heatsink (high end all in one, custom loop kit). You got a V10 engine and a Ferrari body but then you got $50 tires.
haswell overclocks just the same as the other chips, but is a bit hotter than ivy due to the fivr. if you use the same cooling you used on nehalem, you are gonna have a bad time.
