No, you are right there are not allegations on a daily basis, and I admitted that I was beating a dead horse a few pages back. But it continues to be brought up, like this post for example. There are some CPUs that are capable of doing low voltage OCs, and I know this for a fact. I don't however point out flaws in others stress testing or their posted results. So I'm just saying...
There are a lot of very knowledgable and genuinely nice people here willing to help others. But there is also a small percent of arrogant and condescending individuals who don't want to help anyone but themselves. This is consistent with almost any hobby, or enthusiast forum out there. I belong to a few firearms forums ( my other hobby) and the same thing exists. So don't take this as me trying to stir the pot, or single out people, that is not my intention. I just want to make people aware, that's all. I have never directed my posts at any specific person, and of course this doesn't apply to the vast majority of people who post here.
Bottom line is that we are all learning Haswell, and I don't think anyone should pass judgements until more time has passed and we determine the true limits of this generation. I am eager to see DarkWizzie's results, to get a better idea of what people are getting for OCs and what the average is. Then it would be more appropriate to call people out for exaggerations or uneducated posts maybe.
