What the hell are your temps with that voltage, and what are you using to cool it ? Im at 1.2 and reach 65 to 70 deg on h100i on 43x.

Did you use ln2 before & after the delid? Seen a report that haswell didn't lose as much OC as ivy bridge after delidding, curious what kind of max clock difference you got.

FtW420 -

yep we did one chip delided wink.gif and it actually was overclocking just about the same but since the delided chip already wasn't as get as the one we planned to beat up so biggrin.gif didn't do much with it.

but ya I haven't personaly ln2/diced a delided 3770k but do know of the issues associated etc so id say the report is for the most part accurate.. ill report back with numbers and screenshots in a day or so thumb.gif

oh and the chip I listed and in that pc is only for gaming but is from the same batch as the ones we used which were all 4.5ghz 1.24 and under chips...the one we used mainly was able to do out of the box 4.7ghz at 1.27v

I am seriously at my wits end. I have dialed in a 44 overclock at 1.2 volts on manual but now I want to take advantage of adaptive mode on my Maximus VI Impact motherboard. Nothing seems to work the voltages do not change no matter what I do and I cannot find a concrete solution to implementing adaptive mode. What do I do? I am willing to try anything to get this to work.

Let me know if you need certain information.

The way to use adaptive is pretty simple however kinda weird also lol....what you do is select adaptive for boith vcore and uncore voltage and you put the specified vcore in the tubro voltage mode not the offset at all...

so you want 1.2vcorer you select adaptive mode and put 1.2v in the turbo field not the offset field....

you also need to select vdroop/llc of 100% or lvl 1-10

you also need to specify the input voltage vrin/vccin voltage....

so initial and eventual inout voltage example:

initial - 1.85v << slightly higher than eventual

eventual - 1.8v < go up as the vcore goes up etc keep within 0.55v of then vcore

I've seen charts showing different boards overshooting by different amounts, some asus doing like +0.1 over what you set, so this is a bit tricky to narrow down i think

.....what 0.1+ over what....if your talking about vcore man that's only when an AVX instruction is ran... if your talking about input voltage than if anyone is getting a 0.1+ added to their vrin/vccin or any setting in egenral without adding it than they need to return their mobo or learn to not leave everything on auto when overclocking...I have never seen anything on any board bran for haswell add +0.1v to anything...

Now if you mean something like +0.001 - 0.010 than yes this is dirrent but still is nothing to consider....the point on asus boards for vrin having two steps is to technicaly be able to run a lower input voltage after the pc has booted....hints initial and eventual.

Nah, i meant i heard from multiple sources and saw a chart of eventual being like 0.08 higher than set, i think with LLC in particular
