You can find the difference on the Gigabyte homepage smile.gif

But a main difference is that the UDH5 is a mainstream board, able to OC and should be a solid choice. A lot of features
The OC is build for ppl who want to push there PC to the max. It got all the OC features you need (buttons, extra cpu power delivery) and so on.

I would still choose the UD4H over the 5H. They are almost identical, the only difference is features.

Thanks, Zillerella

I did check the Gigabyte website and compared both of them side by side, i didn't see too much of a difference between them, the biggest difference i saw was all the buttons on the motherboard on the OC board.

I really wanted to wait for a Thunderbolt X87 board from Gigabyte but I'm not too sure i can wait.

I really like the 2 x HDMI on the UD5H instead of a 1 x HDMI on UD4H

Would anyone know if there will be a Thunderbolt card add on ever?

Not a big difference.

The UD5h got more fan headers and you got more full control over them. And then the IO-outputs.

What you need the HDMI to? You are not going to need it really unless you use the onboard graphics in your CPU.

It is. The OC has switches for LN2 BIOS etc, and the onboard button are to get the CPU as high as you can to validate within Windows. If you run it as a standard board it's a bit of a waste. As is the extra 4pin CPU power, only really needed at 5.5GHz~+ which you won't get on air or water. Recently played with one and a 4770k on LN2, was wicked fun.
