Again, upon reviewing his tests it turns out the newer MCP35xs don't need an alternate pump top. Try the hairdryer sticker trick, then send the pump into Swiftech and see what they think of you sending them in a non factory pump top thumb.gif

I'll keep the factory one ofc, but as it seems it makes no sense putting an aftermarket top on that particular pump, so i'll just roll with the preinstalled one.

Unless you're moving it to a Aqualis pump top, or moving it into an MCP35x2 housing, there really isn't. (Swiftech made this cool option where you can buy an MCP35X2 pump housing and move your existing pumps into it, if you are in that scenario.)

Haha, good luck with that. It's a pretty special sticker. When you peal it off it leaves behind a bunch of white "VOID"s and the sticker itself won't look right when you try to put it back on. I know from personal experience wink.gif

You mentioned using a bay res so I'd like to add XSPC makes a real nice one with a D5 built in. And again, with a ray storm, GPU and 2 rads you can run this pump on the lowest setting without issue.

Someone else mentioned tube length being a factor but if you're building in a 350d and you seem conscience of minimizing tube length you'll be fine.

However, I can't speak for interference with the bays and the top rad.

Allready researched it, the bayres/d5 combo doesnt interfer with the rad in the top because of the reservoir not filling up the complet 5,25 bay but just like a third or so (pump sticks out more but is low enough to not touch a thinner rad). However i allready decided to go with the MCP35X.
Everything is picked, fittings, rads, pump, tubing, res, blocks and the only thing that is left are the fans.

Alot of people recommend the corsair sp quiet editions but my bro has them on his h100i and let me tell you, they are not nearly as quiet as i want my pc to be haha.
Anyone got experience with NB-BlackSilent Pro's (120mm)?

I would be looking at the PL-1 editions for ultimate silence, my motherboard only has 3 connectorls left after the pump is connected to the cpu pwm 4-pin.
So i would have to connect them via molex, not my question is weither they still run @ 900 RPM via 12V molex?
http://www.blacknoise.com/en/products/it/10/Noiseblocker-NB_BlackSilent_Pro_120mm
They describe that it starts @ 4,5V so increasing voltage would increase RPM or will it just have lower RPM @ 4,5V.

(Sorry if those questions seem retarded but im completely new to the whole concept and its my first time paying attention to stuff like that)

If you're really looking for silence, like me, you're probably going to want to think about undervolting fans. I have some cougar 14's a gelid wing 14 and a noctua 14 all undervolted at 7v i think so they running at about 700-800 rpm and my comp is damn near silent. It sits right next to my head so you can still hear something but its nothing really. Heck, the loudest thing in my system is my graphics card's capacitors. I think its capacitors, all i know is when I run games it whines and squeals.
