I tried AS before when I delidded my first chip and maybe saw a slight improvement but wasn't worth it. Everyone including me will tell you order CLU or CLP I used both and decided I like pro better. Anyway after switching to a liquid metal paste temps droped 25c+ compared to as5 and stock TIM

Dont use AS. Get CLU for best results.

I had this problem the first time as well.

Too much paste and/or the IHS has most likely been pushed aside a little when the lock/clip is pushed down.

Look into these and report back again.

im going to order CLP and redo it and ill post the results

Update: when i did the delidding process i was a little intoxicated, i forgot to plug the fan on my h100 in and well when i realized and got them plugged in i noticed a difference, but not a big enough difference to justify keeping as is, so im still getting the CLP and going to change it out and hopefully get a little better results
