Queston abotu using speedfan

Hey everyone. Im trying to get this program running so that i can see temps from in windows and not restarting and going to BIOS to check. I loaded the program and it only seems to show my HD temp. I downloaded the config from their website for my mobo and still nothing.

Maybe one of you with the same mobo as me can tell me what im doing wrong?

What's the temperature ? Usually Speedfan gets it wrong for the labeling of each temperature reading... So the HDD reading could turn out to be the CPU...
Now, since it's a P4, if the temps are above 50C, you can be 90% sure that it is the CPU's temperature... (except if you have changed your cooling...)

Any chance of some screenshots of SpeedFan? They might help the diagnoses of your problem .

Ok here are some various screen shots of the program. All the temps but 2 read -49c and all the voltages are at what the "example" value us when i go into the config area.

Well, I'm pretty stumped with that. Looks like SpeedFan doesn't properly support your board...

Have you tried downloading the µGuru software (v2.2.0.3) for your Fatal1ty AA8XE motherboard?
Here is the download page if you haven't. Supposedly this software can show CPU temperatures
among other information about your motherboard.

Ok the plot thickens hehe. I just downloaded and installed that program for my mobo. here is the deal.

When i installed the program and ran it, the CPU temp was showing b/w 38 and 39. here is a pic .

Now i thought this was a little interesting seeing as i got 10C higher reading in the uguru temp eq in the BIOS. So i restarted and went into BIOS and sure enough i was reading at 46-47C. What do i believe!!!
