it's been a long time but...

I have been staying at 3.2 ghz for a long time now cause of a game that would not allow me to play if the cpu was overclocked at all. I have now deleted that game and ever game now plays just fine if i want to overclock. this is how things went while i played that game, the game that I could not play when overclocked. bring it back down to 3.2 stock clock. then play the game, when done bring it back up to 3.5 ghz. now that i have deleted that game off my hard drive i want to overclock once more. right now i am at 22.1 deg C on idel but when in a game lets say batman: AC goty temps go to 34 35 deg C. is this good how far can i over clock my phenom II x61090AT BE? what are the top temps i should start watching?

It all depends on your cooling. Are you just using the stock CPU heatsink or something after-market? I would worry about temperatures going past 50-60 degrees C

Don't go past 55 degrees C with that chip. ~60-62 seems to be the max temp for them.

62C is the max for those so if youre under that while running OCCT or Prime95 then youre fine for normal day to day use. And like mentioned above, you dont want to go higher than the mid 50's for 24/7 use. What cooling are you using? Im thinking that the game was a CPU intensive game and your CPU would overheat and throttle down when you were playing that particular game. So it might be time to invest in some solid cooling. It wouldnt take much. A $20 Hyper 212+ would be a great cooler. I had one on my old X6 1090 and it would handle it at 4.0 GHz!

I have been using a xigmatek dark knight s1283V. When i was on stock cooling idle temp with no OC was around 30c with OC was around 42c. when i got this cooler stock clocks idle temp is 19.8c, with OC idle temps are 20.5c stock clock is 3.2ghz temps are 19.8c overclocked to 3.8 ghz temps went up to 20.5. stock clock playing games temp is 24.5c OC temp playing games is 26.7c. so temps are good. but when playing bf3 temps go up to 49c with or with out overclocking.

Here's something else. It's been said (and i guess proven) that you get better overclocs with just 2 stics of ram.
