945 BE Question?

Im currently overclocking my cpu, im at 4.4GHz at 1.56V. will the 1.56V hurt anything. Max temp for a hour on prime is 45C on water?? tongue.gif

Yes this will kill your cpu and it is not good for long term. On your 965 find the lowest stable voltage for 4.2 and stick with that.

Max temp I would say 60C

Yeah im at 1.524V at 4.3Ghz and goin good so i think im gonna stick with that. 4.4GHz at 1.56V was not staying stable so i backed it down to stable.

On water. I have seen ppl do 1.6v for over 3 years without any problems. The main thing is temp.

Are you stress testing that overclock? I recommend OCCT for a 4-6 hour run to make sure. Just asking because Phenom's dont usually run that high so if thats a 4.3 that can run OCCT or whatever then kudos to you sir, thats a very admirable overclock. thumb.gif

I've done bout two hours and had to leave but I'm gonna do a all night test tonight and see, but yeah I was stable at 4.0ghz at 1.4v so ive go a strong chip. And yeah temp is what I thought too but wasent 100%sure
