I'm looking at these two kits Kingston HyperX Beast
16GB kit: KHX24C11T3K2/16X (2 modules of 8GB, 2400MHz)
32GB kit: KHX24C11T3K4/32X (4 modules of 8GB, 2400 MHz).
Anyone knows: are the individual 8GB memory modules the same in both kits? In other words, would purchasing two kits of KHX24C11T3K2/16X be exactly the same as purchasing one kit of KHX24C11T3K4/32X? Is it the same with all manufacturers?
The 32GB kit is more expensive than two 16GB kits. If the modules are the same, how is the premium justified? Are there better chances that a 32GB kit would work better or without flaws than two 16GB kits together as 32GB?
I'm going to use them on a Gigabyte Z777X-UP5.
p.s. The last 32GB kit I had from G.Skill, the TridentX 2400MHz has just died on me (one of the modules went awry out of the blue ... now fails memtest86+)
