Dual Monitor problems?

Thread Starter
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post this here or in the monitor section, but I figured it'd be better here.

I've been having problems on my 6970s Crossfire with one of my two monitors that I have on. Basically the screen kind of acts weird and puts a section of the monitor at the other side. I have eyefinity and it only happens when I have two monitors on. It doesn't happen when I have one on, and I haven't tested three monitors as I don't really want to have three monitors turned on right now. I tried replacing the cables like my DVI and the power cables and it didn't work. I wanted to show it through a screenshot but when I used the print screen key it looked normal, so I took a picture of it with my phone. It's pretty low quality, but you should understand what I'm talking about if you take a look

Anyone know what the problem is?

You just need to turn off eyefinity if you aren't running three displays.

I run crossfired 6970s and also dual monitors like yourself, asus as well, yeah turn off eyefinity from catalyst or just unplug one of your monitors via dvi cable. What cables are you using to hook up your monitors? I have mine pluged in to the 2 dvi ports on card #1......also it sounds like to me like you havent configured your settings correctly from catalyst control center, did you create new eyefinity group then adjust the settings in order? Like bezel compensation for example?....try going through the settings it schould fix your problem i dont think theres anything wrong with your gpus btw

Turning off eyefinity didn't help at all. I did try and unplug my third monitor which isn't in use, but still to no avail. I tried tinkering around, and I didn't really know what to do, but I figured out that it doesn't matter what monitor it is, whichever one that's designated as monitor 2 will do it

What driver version are you on as another member suggested? Maybe try a different driver version that could possibly fix your problem? If not and I were you- 2 radeon 6970s you said you have>? I would try flipping your cards around and see maybe its a certin card giving you that problem!?....Try switching the cards in different slots see if that does anything.Maybe a bad cable possibly?
