It's about time for an upgrade. - Page 8

I appreciate the quick response.

I do not have a fan controller, so I don't know if I should consider switching my push/pull set up (2x corsair fans that came with the h100, 2x cm R4 fans)

My main concern after I purchase the CPU+Mobo, and receive my two GPUs:
Should I upgrade to an SSD so my whole system is upgraded?
Or will my HDD do for loading zones in my MMORORG?

I am using earbuds from my Samsung Galaxy 4.. that I just destroyed by dropping in a pool of alcohol+energy drink, and they hurt my ears very badly. I really want a real pair of headphones to enhance my computer experience, I think I just answered my own question by writing this up.. I'd rather wait a minute loading zones then have my ears hurt!

I wonder which pair of cans to get, AD700s (open, for more comfort?)

You want to have your fans identical in Push/Pull at least same RPM/CFM/Static Pressure. Otherwise you will probably ruin performance or see no gains.

Having an SSD for games is very good to shorten load times. Also if your games drive is separate than your OS drive you also don't have Windows background processes running on the same drive so that increases performance also. If your computer is fast enough, generally loads times wont be too bad on a mechanical but of course the mechanical drive still becomes a bottleneck.

You can get a used pair of Sennheiser PC-350's for $100 on Amazon.com they are listed as Like New so basically means never used still in Box. I got mine used off of Amazon.com and they were listed as Like New. They came in original packaging with plastic films still on them. Can't beat that deal. PC-350's still top performing headphones.

Also, as far as SSD goes you can get a new Sandisk Extreme 240GB drive for $163 @ Amazon.com they have 550 read/write times. Solid Drives.

Good news is I got my Gigabyte 660s in the mail today, and unfortunately they were not BNIB but I'm happy. I got SLI hack to work on my motherboard, and I can now run two 660s in SLI....

ONE HUGE PROBLEM:

I am still suffering from the screen freezes..... what in the world???

I never told you but for the longest time I've been using one stick of memory... I keep rotating them. So yea I have 12 GB worth of memory in my sig rig, but I'm mainly use one of the two corsairs... I'm trying to pinpoint the problem, and it's starting to go towards my motherboard maybe? Is the SATA port messed up, what could cause a screen freeze?

EDIT: I'm using the 314.07 WHQL Drivers.. so it's not the new Nvidia drivers.

Ok, SLI hacked my motherboard, BIOS flashed my GPUs, and I underclocked my CPU and memory.

Computer seems to be partially stable (For now).

I got my GPUs to work, but I'm getting bottle-necked badly in my MMORPG... New patch released, lots of players around me... my CPU cannot handle it!
