7970 in crossfire low FPS - Page 2

iv have the cards in the system for about 4-5 months now and the fps drop only started to happen about 3-4 days ago recently , im fully up to date with everything.

Man i feel like an idiot now i swapped out my crossfire bridge for a new one and it seems to improve a little but now i can't enable crossfire in ccc

buy a new bridge they are cheap like $5

online game crossfire: FPS 90-130 very unstable (sometime it could just dropped down to 45-60)

should i change the default setting of GPU & MEMORY CLOCK??

u are putting to much stress on the CPU with those settings appart that u are feeding two GPUs.... u should try to pu everything on MAX SETTINGS and give it a go... why on earth would u have CF to play Dota and CS?

Try 13.10 they got a lot of CFX fixes including frame pacing. Also OP the games you are running aren't even max, nor do they need 1 7970 to max out.

Sounds to me like you are not uninstalling the the drivers properly.
You need to used driver sweeper and you alos need to use the ATI driver cleaner.
I would also suggest going through your system and deleting everthing you can regarding AMD.
Shut down restart if it doesnt come up with teh error Direct X is not installed then you have not uuninstalled correctly.
Its a pain in the bum but once you do a complete wipe of all remnants of old AMD drivers and data ...yu will find it will be glitchy and that includes not being able to enable crossfire.

On a further note you need at least an 850 Watt PSU
