I built my current build a while ago and just had a little aftermarket fan on my CPU, then I upgraded to the H100, then they came out with the h100i not too long after...my H100 kept my 4.2GHz eight-core at 22c and lower like 97% of the time. So I don't really see a reason to replace that.

I've read other people saying it's overkill.
So what ? You want something future proof. Why not buy a 1000 W now ?
The PSU is probably the only component in a PC that can be 'future proof'.

That's one person thinking only a few people will use SLI/Xfire? . How do you know OP won't become an enthusiast in a year's time, then he will need a better PSU.

I say, if you want a 1000W PSU, then get one. The PSU discussion generally goes in circles, you do not need that much for that build, 550W would suffice, but, if you want to future proof it then the 1000W will do just that. It is overkill by a long shot, but, you have room for TriSLI, water cooling, oc'ing, tons of fans, etc, etc...

Other than that, the build looks good to me. The Sabertooth is a great board and the 3570K will be a good little OC'er with your H100 and you will game like a champ with that new 770. Cheers and happy building.

Yeah, I have been thinking about the PSU, and I think I am going to stick with the 1000W (as it is fully modular and will handle anything I throw at it for years to come.). I said from the beginning I want to spend a little bit more money in order to achieve that future proof buld and avoid spending more money in like 6 months or anything like that! biggrin.gif
