Mouse with sensitive buttons?

Thread Starter
I used to use the CM Storm Spawn but it broke down so I got myself a g400. Lately I've gotten some problems with my mouse hand which I suspect is from the stiffer buttons on the g400. Particularly the scroll button (which I use a lot) is a **** ton stiffer on the g400 compared to the Spawn.

Since I can't get another Spawn, as it's not sold around here anymore, I'm looking for a mouse with really sensitive buttons and that works well in the 400 - 800 dpi range.

IMO, CM Recon have sensitive buttons, but it is heavier than the CM Spawn. The weight distribution is more heavy on the back. I don't know if the Recon shape is right for you though, as it is very different from the Spawn. Perhaps someone who tried both the Recon and Spawn can chime in.

I can second that, though I'm not sure of the newer versions (shouldn't have changed). G400 buttons are maybe a bit stiffer than average (which I like a lot) so one might not like it for, say, RTS.

You could mod the micro switch of the scroll wheel, but for the loss of the warranty. The thing is the g400's cable breaks easily, so a loss of warranty can hurt much. You should check how to repair or replace the cable if you intend to do this. One person also adviced to simply use glue there where it comes out to prevent it from being pulled. Though i don't know if this if enough as the cable can break somewhere else, really don't know.

However, to make the scroll wheel lighter by a ton you need to do some steps and it's actually very easy but i would really practice it on a cheap/spare mouse first.

google search.

Otherwise sorry no idea about mice with light scroll wheels.
