New Build Completed For now. Need ideas for improvement. also info for water cooling - Page 2

It was for me, as well. i started off with AMD for my first budget build. I then quickly realized that comparing AMD to Intel, IPC to IPC, Intel was going to win.

true i want to make my computer pure performance. and as for cooling everything down im going to make a total custom water cooling solution with 6 240mm rads with no fans a 35 gallon water coller container and an a/c. i will draw up a spec design tonight and post later.

so i finally got a stable 3.9mhz running on my cpu with load temps at 34-38C i actually wanna push it further to maybe 4.2 to 4.6 right now my core speed is 3914.26
multiplier is 19
bus speed 206.03
ht link 2060.03
and voltage is 1.488

if anyone knows how to push it further please feel free to give me some ideas.

also cooling will not be a probably as i am currently working on a radical idea.
so here it is im taking a water cooler (like the ones you take to the pool or beach) a big 25 gallon one that can hold triple 120mm rads standing up. i can fit a total of about 6 or 7 of them in there. alll with no fans on them. at the top of the cooler with be a 4.2 in whole cut out of the top which will hold a aluminum dryer vent whole that is connected to my 9000btu portable air conditioner. seeing how the cooler is insulated the cold air should stay inside of the cooler therefore keeping the rads ice cold out the sides will be my water tubing which will run to my gpu and cpu blocks. only problem i can is i will probably need an extra pump to push all that fluid thru all the rads and up to the blocks. again feel free to let me know what you guys think.

^^ IMO that's a good OC.
Aren't you happy with that?wink.gif

i am happy with it for now. bu ti feel i can get more with it. i want to hit a stable clock with load temps under 40-45c. im thinking about something of the sort for my next clock attempt.

4200 core speed
multiplier is 20
bus speed 210.0
ht link 2100.00
and voltage is 1.5

or

4300 core speed
multiplier is 20
bus speed 215.0
ht link 2150.00
and voltage is 1.5 will have to check voltages

or

4392 core speed
multiplier is 18
bus speed 244.0
ht link 2440.00
and voltage is 1.5 will have to check voltages

You should already be able to do 4.0GHz CoreSpeed and HT Link 2600MHz.

set the multiplier to 15.5 right and bump the bus to 260. unfortunately im still a bit new to over clocking so im not sure if i should bump up the voltage on the bus.

i just finished OCing my gtx 680 4gbs to
132 power
+160 mhz
+500 memory and seems to be running stable after 2 hours of furmark and heaven and running crysis 3 non stop
