Looks awesome but WHY do they always let somebody play that has no idea how to freakin aim? It's frustrating to watch. That's probably how it is on console

What a shame YouTube still doesn't allow true native 60FPS rendering without heavy workaround...

Why is there always someone who has to complain about the person's aim? tongue.gif It looks to me like it was done with a controller for one and secondly, they're probably using very low sensitivity in order to move the camera slowly and smoothly so the camera isn't jerking around.

You always get significantly better graphics with with 30 fps, and significantly better graphics market and sell significantly better than 60 fps. So the majority of games will be 30 fps, not 60.

Don't be surprised to a fair number of 720p games as well.

Am I expecting 60fps @ 1080? Of course I am- current gen console run at 30fps @ 720 these are "next gen" consoles. Consoles need to bring themselves out of the dark ages and jump from 30fps @ 720 to 60fps @1080 - this is not unfeasible, and it should be done to warrant the "next gen" title IMO.

Will I be let down if they don't run at 60fps @ 1080? No, because I won't be buying a next gen console.

I can't believe people would be willing to lap up "next gen" consoles playing games at 30fps @ 720. The life span of these consoles is predicted to be at least 10 years. Are people seriously happy to be still gaming with 30fps @ 720 in 10 years from now? - I wouldn't want to play games at 720 with 30fps now never mind in 10 years time. That is not "next gen" to me.

60fps @ 1080 is the standard in PC gaming and has been for a while now - in 10 years time the PC standard will have advanced further like to something like 1440 120Hz, while these consoles will still be running at 30 fps @ 720. PCs have always been ahead of consoles but if these "next gen" consoles stick with 30fps @ 720 then the distance that PCs are ahead of consoles is only going to grow even further.

@ Bold -

I don't think most people will notice, honestly. I do expect 1080p to be the standard, but I will be SHOCKED if 60 fps becomes the mainstream. I am sure 9 out of 10 360 owners couldn't tell the difference, and additionally I bet those same 9 out of 10, if given the choice between better looking games and 60 fps, they would pick better looking every time.

PC gamers are, almost by definition, informed about technology and how it works (excluding wow and lol hordes who play on laptops), console gamers are the opposite. Most of them buy consoles because they don't want to have to learn anything about how technology works, they just want it to work and look good by their tastes.

30 fps always looks better, so it's here for a long while yet. I would be willing to guess that as long as consoles are around, in my opinion that's not more than one more generation after the ps4/xbox one, 30 fps games will be the most common.

Cant tell if physics or scripted... Or both.

1) At 2:54, the guy's health goes from 22% to 100% in 4 seconds flat. Is that on ultra-easy mode or what?
2) Supernova sun and massively exaggerated light sources haven't gone anywhere, I was squinting through half the trailer. I guess it's just a Battlefield thing now to mercilessly assault the player's eyes with unrealistic bloom.
3) Seems suppression doesn't affect aim/accuracy in SP, it only blurs the screen similar to BF2. I sincerely hope the same is true for MP.
4) Looks extremely linear with scripted vehicle sections and scripted action sequences where the game takes control of the camera and forces you to look at what can only be interpreted as the devs at DICE screaming "LOOK AT WHAT FROSTBYTE ENGINE CAN DO! LOOK AT IT!!" (so no changes from BF3, haha).

Overall I started to get bored by the 3 minute mark and that's got to be some kind of new record for a gameplay trailer. What is the difference between BF SP and CoD SP at this point? Because I honestly can't tell. If you took away the interface and lowered the resolution a bit, I would tell you "oh this looks like it could be CoD:Ghosts". It's just one linear sequence after another where the player gets tossed around and follows a bunch of soldiers yelling orders at him, getting carted along from one set piece to the next.

Christ guys, don't all try to mix things up at the same time rolleyes.gif
