I do think they're not changing a whole lot, and we've all seen BF go in the same direction as COD, but todays MP trailer shower plenty of of good changes and gave me new hope for the future of BF. We'll see where BF goes, but for now it seems like there is a chance BF might stay interesting.

EDIT: Btw they have announced two 'expansion packs' already, and there's some pics of a third unannounced possible expansion pack called Drone Strike, makes me skeptical about if they're just holding those maps back to cash in on them later...

I believe Drone Strike ended up being the code name for the China Rising expansion.

People like to believe that they would do such a thing, but meh.. No comment.

DICE's technical director has said that the game is performing great thanks to its development under the DirectX 11.1 API.

Considering the fact that consoles and PCs alike are now x86 and DX 11, they should have alot more time to work out bugs which will be more similar across platforms.
if they REALLY wanted to, they could probably make the multiplayer work cross-platform without much issue.

So, Chris, just what the hell did you want or expect especially considering we are and always will be held back by comparatively gimped console hardware? I see plenty of innovation from DICE, at least compared to other devs, and to call it like that regurgitated garbage COD is just laughable. It's an 'arcade' military shooter ffs, what do you want? Dinosaurs with lasers?

I really thought this would be just BF3 with a paint job but today showed me otherwise. Is it somehow revolutionary? Hell no. But it's a nice-looking and fun step forward, it would seem.

And even if they could join the platforms on multiplayer technically they would never actually do it. We'd have too much of an advantage. I'd love it though lol
