I have been experimenting with linux in virtual box. Typing this up on a ubuntu 12.04 install right now, although I prefer the gnome shell debian stable. I'm getting random bugs here and there.

On ubuntu I open a program, say firefox but it doesn't open. When I try to open it again it tells me it's already running and to kill the process. I tried some of the games in the debian install and 1 or 2 of them the graphics got all squirrelly, 1 of them borked the entire shell... this coming from the 7.0.0 stable. Could these problems be due to it being a virtual machine?

I don't have a separate computer right now to load them up properly and can't pull myself away from windows yet on this one because of itunes & my phone right now. Also I'm worried about messing up my partitions to try a dual boot.
