[Various] Asus GTX 780 DirectCU II Reviews - Page 50

Hello all,

I have a problem while trying to flash the skynet bios with my Asus GTX 780 DirectCU II with NVFLASH ; when i open the MSDOS window, it ask me to type enter but at the end the window disappears frown.gif.

Can you help me? Is there any other way other than NVFLASH to flash in a safe way the new bios?

Thank you.

I think Asus over looked SLI configurations with this card.  The flexible SLI bridge needs to be bent at an extreme right angle to fit the top card.  Forget about using the rigid SLI bridge as the Direct CU II cooler juts out way to far. Am I missing something like an SLI finger extender?  Does Asus not expect people to run 3 or 4 way SLI?

I noticed on the gtx 780 ti dc2 they had raise the sli connectors. That must be why lol. If you look at pcb pics of the ti it looks really funny because the connectors are so high:)

My Asus 780 just arrived today from Newegg. It is B1 stepping and Hynix memory. I have not tried any overclocking yet.

This does not happen always, it's random, sometimes I can be almost an entire afternoon without. graphics card restarting the pc ... Is it drivers? Someone else has already this problem? It only happens while gaming, when on net, youtube, etc it's just great... I have bought it 14th this month...

My Specs:

i7 3770k Stock
Msi GD65 Z77 Gaming
8 GB DDR 3 Kingston Hyper X 1600MHZ
SSD Corsair Force 3 120GB
HHD Western Digital 1TB Blue
PSU Corsair HX 1050 Watts
Windows 8 64bits....

It's Driving me nuts... what do you guys think that possibly is?

Sorry for bad english..

Mine started do about the same thing a few weeks ago.

My first crash came watching youtube, the computer reset/freeze/blank screen/noise from speakers.

Than later, it did it in a game, and once or twice at idle. I can't seem to make it happen, sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't.

I've since pulled it, and put my HD 7850 back in, that was over a week ago, no issues since.

SO, I'm current RMA'ing the card... Well, basically. I opted for the quick method, where they send you a card, before you send yours in. That still hasn't happened, and they still won't even tell me if they received my fax. This "quick" return has already taken 1 week, and my card hasn't been shipped. If it weren't for this 7850 I had laying around, I wouldn't have my gaming rig at all right now.

Tiagone:

What was the error .... can't diagnose what's happening w/o that info. What does event viewer say ? The most common error is a Windows timing error.

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/413110/geforce-drivers/the-nvlddmkm-error-what-is-it-an-fyi-for-those-seeing-this-issue/

Best to find out what is causing the error before taking any other steps.
