When I switched over from crossfired HD 7970's to my Titan I used ATIman and ran into problems. I then followed the guide above, which literally took me all of about 10 minutes due to the fact that I had never done registry edits before, and all my issues were fixed. I'm not saying that ATIman won't work for anyone but I do feel that the guide above is the safest and best way to go about completely removing those old driver files.

Hmm. Atimna is supposed to do everything above. Was yours outdated, or perhaps some of the in program options were wrong? Not saying you did anything wrong, but it's worked flawlessly for me.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure. I had the latest ATIman installed at the time and followed all of the steps to the best of my ability. I actually ran ATIman twice, once originally and the second time to see if it had missed something. Wasn't a biggie though, I then ran the guide and it fixed it right up. It's important to keep in mind though that just because it didn't work for me, it won't work for someone else such as yourself:thumb:

Well, I've never heard of it not working before, + rep for bringing that to my attention.

Thread Starter
btw I just spared myself the trouble of fixing it and just did a clean install of windows (which was a lot of work too so what I said didn't make any sense lol) Installed the last WHQL drivers 314.22 everything works as it should now thumb.gif
