If the so called "next-gen" consoles were actually next-gen then I would consider but not the way they are looking. Consoles are for people that want to just put in a disc and play and don't care if the game is running at 20fps @ 480p or 120fps @ 1600p.

With my PC I can do everything that a console can plus tons more. A console is just a waste of money. You get out dated hardware and are limited in every way possible. You get no choice you are forced into whatever MS and Sony want.

I'd rather spend $500 on a new maxwell gpu, which will most likely blow these consoles out of the water, than on these consoles.

I voted both but I meant for it to be PC and Console of your choice.

I will be doing my hardcore gaming on PC and my casual gaming with friends and family on whatever system I feel will be better for it depending on games coming out.

That isn't really an argument. The PC has plenty of exclusives as well. You would have to buy both the xbox and ps to even play all the games you just mentioned.

Enlighten me on how you plan to play WoW, Starcraft, Civilization, Sim City, Planetside 2, Red Orchestra/2/Rising Storm, Arma/II/III, Company of heroes 2, Total War Series, DayZ, Dota 2/LoL, The Elder Scrolls Online, Hawken, Battlefield 1942/2/2142, Counterstrike 1.6, Half-Life, Age of Empires, The Witcher, Unreal, Quake, and almost every other MMO and f2p game you can think of on a console. And I bet I've forgotten plenty others.

Also many people forget that Call of Duty and Call of Duty:UO were PC exclusives....many forget since the series has been tainted by consoles.

PC! I hear you can't upgrade the GPU in XBox Ones or PS4s when you fancy a bit more power in a couple of years. biggrin.gif

But seriously, there is no right or wrong answer it all comes down to preference.

What a silly question to ask on a pc enthusiast forum, lol.
PC.

For the cost of a PS4, you can get a GTX 770 and if you have even an old 2500K system, you will have about 30% more GFLOPS than the PS4. So for the same cost as a PS4, which is $100 less than an XBox One, you can take an existing computer and have more processing power. It will last just as long, can be upgraded later (for even more processing power) and is massively more versatile than either the PS4 or XBO.

Also, given the fact that now that both the PS4 and XBO are now essentially non-expandable PC's anyway, gave developers will have a VERY EASY time porting from one platform to another. So, IMO, it is a very good time to be a PC Gamer.
