Now this is what I call modding! I've never seen anything like it, incredible!
Can't believe I've been overlooking this thread.

$10 pasta cooker, 4"x12" and 3/16" thick at local dep store

I need a cap for the open end and it will hold the fittings

little jiggy thing to finish the cap to the proper size

it fits like a glove

glue the cap to a green plexi disc

drill and treated the fitting holes

fittings in place at the bottom of the disc

added a clear divider that will go inside the RES to half it size tall

glue the RES body to the lower plate

The RES is finish, now to add some stuff to it

This is where CrazyModder, start working

I wanted a different looking RES, to be the center piece of the case. Some how I found this at a Pet Shop a Hamster Wheel.

It comes apart at the middle, so I got a top and a bottom

I screw one half to the top of the RES and the other will go at the bottom

this leave me with a gap that has to be fill, some more plexi was added

painted the wheel to match the color scheme, the green parts are the wheel original color.

painted the cover plate for the inside too.

this is how it looks from the top, it will be the same at the bottom side

build this little bars and sleeve them like the wires

attach them to the cover plates

Now you see the RES, almost finish

I added some LEDs holders to both cover plates

wired the UV LEDs

tested them

now I cover the RES with a black mesh, should look good with the green water

put all together and is finish for now

my friend seems to like it

It end up at 13" height and 7" width, it has UV LEDs at the bottom plate and white LEDs at the top plate, I plan in power them independently. I still have to figure out how to attach it to the case, forgot to think about it while building this Monstrosity.

the support bracket for the RES

its compose of three parts, very simple yet strong

the parts after painting

now is assembled, I used glue and screws

a top picture of the bracket and RES together

and another shot from the side

Now the RES is mounted in the case

a picture from another angle

and another one

and last a couple of pictures of the WC loop

I think is a very clean loop

WC loop is finished, tested and no leaks.

Thanks to all of you that comment and voted in this log.....

P.S. You guys can HATE IT or LIKE IT, but please don't BASH IT.
I want to thank you for taking the time to document and post this incredible build! You are certainly one of our finest builders...modder is too low a praise for your imaginitive and technically excellent fabrication skills. That green plastic is intense.

Awesome build!
