If you can replace the internal HDD, I don't see the point in have having rear USB jacks but of course the design COULD change before launch, as its not final according to Sony *shrug*

it's mostly an annoyance since the current PS3 doesn't have rear USB ports either yet the webcam requires it, so you have to route the cable to the front of the system. It just makes for a messier setup than it could be.
Front USB ports are ideal for connecting controllers and flash drives but you wouldn't want to leave them in there permanently.

As others have said
If they utilize trim through the software and hardware, im game to put a descent sized ssd in there just to get that speed boost for loading and writing...

I really cannot wait till this gets released, in a couple weeks putting my pre order money down on this along with a couple games, ff13 lightning returns collectors being the first and foremost
