Did you even read any articles about the always online? It does not restrict single player games. How stupid can you be.

This is news to me...everything I've read as been that you have to check in once every 24 hours over the Internet or no games will work...not even single player games. Has there been some new development on this topic? I will admit I am not following it much since I am not too concerned about the Internet requirements of the Xbox One or PS4.

Hence that Microsoft guy causing all the uproar with his statement, "if you want to play offline go buy a 360"

Nor can you trade any digital copies of your games on PS3 or PS4! (or PC account based DRM for that matter).

Nor can you "lend" a game to a family member or friend on the other side of the world with the press of a button.

Nor can you use that same system to "try out" the full version of a game from somebody else's library before purchasing a game.

Meaning when digital/downloaded media becomes as much of a big thing for consoles as it is for PC, PS4 will be behind and limited digitally even more than it is now.

Well you could share your game with millions, but you'd have to hand them the game disk to do so. However, as I mentioned earlier the ability to share a game with some one and still play it yourself sounds very interesting.

An Xbox playing friend of mine is already starting to try to talk me into getting an Xbox One, split the cost of the games with him, and just share each others library...and at this point it sounds legal and do able. I told him I am not pre-ordering anything though as I want to see all of this actually in practice first. Still sounds too good to be true and I am expecting all of the major publishers to "opt" out of these programs.

well technically you can, but so far it just sounds like you can swap physical discs for PS4. I prefer the digital root WAYYYYYYY more. Too many games come back from my friends that got a little scratch. Can't blame them anymore than their stupid drunk friend that probably did it on accident.

So?

If you want to trade and share PS4 games, you just buy the physical copy instead.

You act is if some how Microsoft's system of only limiting your sharing to 10 people after 30 days is superior to being able to share with anybody at any time on PS4.

That anybody at anytime on the PS4 pretty much amounts to the same thing as Microsofts. I mean, do you loan your game out to 50 people? In that case, sure, + PS4, but otherwise, MS has the upper hand here. You don't have to physically swap discs. Sure that was easy in highschool/college when all of your friends are localized....but nowadays, for a majority of people, digitally sharing the game with your friends is MUCH easier. I mean, how many 30 year olds have all their buddies down the street and just hang out and trade games? No stats but I'm sure it's not often.

If Microsoft's statement is true and is what we will actually see after release, it is superior in a very large way. MS is saying that you can share a game with one other person and still play it yourself. That is huge. That is like getting two copies for the price of one. The limitation being that you can only have ten people that you can share with in this manner.

I'm acting as if being able to digitally share a game with my cousin who lives 30 miles away from me with the press of a button is superior to having to meet with my cousin who lives 30 miles away to give him a disc? And do so again when I want that disc back?
