Time to upgrade? SLI GTX 460 to 700 series

Hey guys,

I'm finally seriously considering an upgrade to my GPU since Nvidia released their 700 series. I'm coming from SLI 460 Hawks. They've been pretty good, but I'd like something that takes up less power and gives off less heat.

My understanding is that SLI 460's give comparable performance to a 670 or 680 and a 770 is basically an overclocked 670/680.

Would upgrading be worth it? Would only an upgrade to 780 be worthwhile?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I game on a single 1080p monitor. BF3, Crysis 3 and the like.

IMO Its a bigger upgrade than you think.

The 770 has more memory and give you better playability at 1920x1080 and higher quality settings than you would get right now as you are limited to 1Gb vram. Apart from that I think it will also be significantly faster as well. looking around for comparisons the SLI 1Gb 460 is somewhere between 580 and 680 in performance. The 770 is quicker than a 680. Its not a simple rebadge exercise. It has some improvements in memory and clock boost. Also more power efficient than two 460's
